What Five Hearts is for

Five Hearts exists to bring residents, businesses, nonprofits, faith communities and local leaders together to strengthen Loudoun County, Virginia, through thoughtful collaboration, practical action, and compassionate service.

This website serves that purpose. It explains our mission and vision, keeps a directory of help available to people in the county, lists gatherings and volunteer days, and gives neighbors a way to take part or to give. It is offered for general information and community benefit, free of charge.

Using this site

By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. You are welcome to read, share and link to anything here. Please do not use the site to break the law, to mislead anyone, to send spam through our forms, or to interfere with how the site works for others.

The resource directory

The directory points to organizations and helplines run by other people. We work to keep it accurate, but phone numbers, hours and eligibility change, and we cannot promise every entry is current. Please confirm the details with the organization itself before relying on them.

A listing is not an endorsement, and the absence of a listing is not a judgment. Nothing on this site is medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. Five Hearts is not an emergency service: if you or someone else is in danger, call 911, and for a mental health crisis call or text 988.

Photography and imagery

The images on this site are illustrative. They are here to convey the character of Loudoun County and the spirit of the work, not to serve as a record of a particular event, place or person, unless a caption says so.

Some images are photographs. Some have been edited or enhanced, and some were created in whole or in part with artificial intelligence tools. We do not label each image individually; this notice applies to all of them. People who appear in generated or composite images are not real individuals, and any resemblance to a real person is coincidental.

If you believe an image on this site belongs to you or shows you, and you would like it credited or removed, write to connect@fiveheartsva.org and we will put it right.

Events

Dates, times and places are published in good faith and sometimes change. An RSVP tells us how many chairs to set; it is not a ticket or a contract, and we may need to limit numbers, move or cancel a gathering. Events held with partner organizations are also subject to those partners' own rules. You take part in gatherings and volunteer days at your own risk and are responsible for your own conduct.

Giving

Gifts made through this site are processed by Donorbox and its payment partners, and their terms apply to the transaction. Five Hearts does not see or store your card details. Gifts are voluntary and are generally not refundable; if you have given in error, write to us and we will help. Nothing on this site is tax advice. Whether a gift is tax-deductible depends on your circumstances and on our registration status at the time of the gift.

What you send us

When you fill in a form, please give accurate information and only share details that are yours to share. How we handle what you send is set out in our Privacy & Cookies page.

Other websites

This site links to, and embeds services from, organizations we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or how they handle your information. Their own terms and privacy policies apply once you leave this site or use their services.

Our content

The Five Hearts name, mark, writing and design belong to Five Hearts or are used with permission. You may quote and share them to tell people about the work, with credit. Please ask before using them in a way that suggests Five Hearts endorses or is affiliated with something else.

No guarantees

This site is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we make no promises that it will be complete, current or free of errors or interruptions. To the fullest extent the law allows, Five Hearts and the people who work with it are not liable for any loss or harm arising from your use of this site or your reliance on anything published here.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
